Getting around Bratislava is cheap and reliable. A monthly travel pass costs €20 and covers the three modes of transport – buses, trolley-buses and trams. Individual journeys are done by time, €0.50 for up to 15 minutes, €0.70 for up to 60.  If you dont manage to buy a ticket from the machine before boarding, you can text 1100 and you'll be covered for 70 minutes for €0.80.

Transport is regular and it’s rare for a bus to be more than a couple of minutes late. Buses run through the night on separate routes beginning ‘N’. They are less frequent, at one every hour or two hours, but equally reliable as the daytime ones.
