ENVIRONMENT Minister Viliam Tursky has decided to release the contract on the sale of the carbon-dioxide emission quotas in full, Environment Ministry spokesperson Jana Kaplanova said on Monday. "The contract with supplements is available at www.enviro.gov.sk," Kaplanova said. The ministry's spokesperson also said that Interblue Group, which bought the quotas, was selected in line with the law on trading with emission quotas, as it offered the most advantageous conditions. Kaplanova added that in the selection process, the price offer, the volume of the quotas to be bought, and the credibility in terms of meeting the commitments stemming from the contracts were taken into account. "The sale of the surplus carbon-dioxide quotas was carried out at the end of the last year at a price agreed in the contract and in a transparent manner. We do not have any proof of any other country selling their emissions under more advantageous conditions. Only Slovakia has released the contract in full," Kaplanova added. |
